DAY 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive will take us through the city of Arusha then out to Maasai land where you can see Maasai grazing cattle and goats. Enjoy the game drive through the park which covers an area of 2,850 km2 and famous for its large herd of elephants, some over 100 in number; and large baobab trees that dot the landscape as you head to your accommodation for a night under the clear and sparkling African night sky.

DAY 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

You will have an early breakfast then head out to Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. The beauty of the park begins at the park gate by driving through the lush forest, then open grassland before reaching the lake edge. To any game watcher, the park is a paradise, full of endemic species and a variety of birdlife. Expect to see various animals like elephants, hippos, impala, dik-dik, bushbuck, and if you a lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara that have made this park world famous. You will return to the camp for hot lunch, and thereafter join local activities at Mto Wa Mbu, take a bike ride to the lake or a walking safari to the village to experience the local culture and sample local products. This short adventure ends with a drive back to the camp in a tuk-tuk where a driver will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation for the night.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Have an early breakfast then depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day crater tour. You will descend into the crater; a fantastic experience on its own with beautiful scenery and majestic game life. At a depth of 610 m and a floor area of 260 km2, the crater is named one of the natural wonders of Africa and on a clear day, you can see the whole crater wall from the bottom. Considered Mother Nature’s zoo, the crater boasts a variety of large animals, approximately 25,000 in number including the rare black rhino. Lunch is at a picnic site with a view of hippos lazing in the shallow waters of the lake, followed by another game drive en route to the camp. On the way, you will have an opportunity to do a short safari walk; enjoying the landscape and the chance to see local Maasai houses.

DAY 5: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we depart for Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park is made up of grassland savanna, river trine forest, and woodlands, each providing a picturesque landscape. There will be a stop at the crater viewpoint, where on a clear day offers views of the entire crater, then proceed with a game drive en route to your accommodation. An option of visiting the Maasai Bomas (houses) which are located inside the Ngorongoro plains is available for an opportunity to experience the Maasai culture.
